Learning About the Layers of the Earth Can Be Fun!
I love when my boys express interest in new things, especially science.
It's so much fun helping them research the topics and finding resources to enjoy.
I think the best part is discovering ways to extend that learning fun. We love to add a variety of resources, like hands-on activities, videos, and printable worksheets.
Recently, when my boys and I went for a nature walk, my youngest made an observation about the layers of soil in a carved out siding on the path. We often walk on a part of Rails to Trails where areas were carved out of hilly places to lay railroad tracks and now walking/biking/running trails.
Naturally, I wanted to build on this observation and help all of us explore the science behind the layers of the earth!
