My boys love to chat all different types of things in nature, especially when we go on nature walks. If you like nature walks, make sure to grab our free scavenger hunts for spring, summer, and fall!

I know certain science subjects can sometimes seem boring, but learning about the life cycle of trees and how they grow can be really fascinating!

It's amazing how many different types of trees there are, too. You can find all kinds of trees in your own neighborhood and town.

It's so fun to go on the hunt for various types of trees and to see all of the different kinds of leaves they have with vibrant colors and distinct features.

So, if you'd like to expand your science curriculum with some stimulating and interesting educational activities about trees, give these worksheets a try.

Invite your students to help you find books and other resources to make it a fun collaboration.

Who knows? You just might find that learning about the life cycle of trees is actually pretty awesome. (And your children will be so happy that you gave their idea a try!)

What's In This Tree Life Cycle Worksheets Pack?

Let's take a look at what's inside this free tree life cycle activities pack with 8 pages:

Color The Trees: This printable includes a color page with 4 types of trees for each season that can be colored. There's a tree for winter, summer, spring, and fall that your kids can color and decorate.

Tree Planting Patterns: This worksheet will allow your students to cut out various tree pictures and glue them to the correct spots in order to complete the pattern. Your kids can color all of the trees as well.

How a Tree Grows: This activity sheet gives your students 5 tree life cycle pictures they can cut out. They then get to paste each life cycle picture in the right spot to make the correct order of a tree's life cycle.

Parts of a Tree: This printable sheet will allow your students to label a colorful tree with all of its parts. There are 5 boxes for your kids to fill out with the proper parts of the tree.

Plant in Parts: This activity sheet lets your kids practice their writing, spelling, and matching skills. They'll get to trace the words for each plant part and then match the words to the correct pictures. Your kids can color this sheet, too!

What do Plants Need: Your kids will love circling all the colorful items that plants need to grow with this fun worksheet. The labeled pictures will also help them to practice reading.

Great Ways to Use These Tree Life Cycle Worksheets

Read books about various types of trees. If you don't already have some at home, you can search your local library or Amazon.

Watch videos that explain the life cycle of trees and other plants with your kids.

Research examples of various types of trees with your kids via the internet or your local library.

If you can, find a local forest in your area so that you can experience many different types of trees in person. You can also check out arborday.org for some more ideas on how to experience trees.

As your students work on these worksheets, chat about the descriptions. Then, encourage your kids to make their own observations.

When these tree life cycle worksheets are completed, add them to your student's binder or set them aside for your homeschool portfolio.

Make extra copies of these worksheets, especially Plant in Parts. Then, you can revisit this activity throughout the year by having your students practice their writing and spelling. They can also copy the words to another paper to work on their penmanship.
