My Secrets for Being a Smart Shopper on Amazon

With all of the perks that come with shopping on Amazon, you may be wondering how to find the best deals and pick the right products for your family. Plus, you don't want to have to break the piggy bank because you went over your budget!

If you're new to Amazon shopping (or could just use some tips on how to get the most bang for your buck), I've got a few tips and secrets to share 😘

1. Set a Budget:

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the best when it comes to finances and budget. But, I have found it extremely helpful to set limits when I shop online. It's way to easy to just add to cart and hit buy!

2. Make a list:

Grab a pencil and paper (or open a new document on your computer or tablet).

Create categories for different areas of your life. In each category, make a sections for Needs (must-have items) and Wants (not essential but would be cool).

Focus on your Needs areas when looking for deals. If you find an incredible deal for a Want, decide if you have room in your budget to go for it.

3. Hit the Pause Button

Before you jump to the buy button, I encourage you to take a few moments and consider:

  • Do you really need this item?
  • Where will this item be stored?
  • How often with the item be used?
  • Who will use this product?
  • Are there any better deals out there for the same product?

If you don't have a definitive answer for any of the above questions, select the "Save for Later" option. Walk away from whatever device you're using and come later. You may find that you're no longer interested or have an answer that you feel satisfied with.
