Why Grid Art Activities Are Spectacular Fun!
Grid art activities are such wonderful challenges to practice and develop drawing skills. With engaging themes, your young artists are inspired and encouraged to extend their skills in a safe way. It’s like having a special drawing board.
My five boys and I have had a blast with our Harry Potter-Inspired and Dr. Seuss-Inspired Grid Art Activities. The boys love learning how to draw some of their favorite characters. I enjoy watching my boys grow in the art skills.
And it’s not just their art skills that are growing! These types of grid art activities have been such wonderfully simple ways for the boys to practice growth mindset skills.
Drawing isn’t easy for my boys. In the past, frustration would steal their joy and end in throwing down their pencils and any attempt at artwork.
These grid art activities have been fantastic ways for each of my boys to take their own approach to sketching and shading. Instead of staring at a blank piece of paper, they have cute characters to use as bases plus grid lines to guide their pencil strokes for a cool creative process.
The boys are now understanding how they can enjoy drawing fun as they improve with practice and patience. Such amazing life lessons to learn through such simple activities!
