Preschool at Home Doesn’t Have to Be Overwhelming
You want to make preschool at home special — but it feels overwhelming.
You’re doing your best to give your child a strong start…but piecing together preschool at home can be frustrating and exhausting.
Maybe you’ve felt this way…
- You want a gentle and engaging way to introduce letters, numbers, and basic concepts — but you’re not sure where to start.
- You’ve downloaded tons of free printables but still feel like something’s missing — a rhythm, a plan, a spark of joy.
- You know your child learns best through hands-on activities and play, but you feel pressure to “do more” or sit down for long lessons.
- You want your child to be ready for Kindergarten — but without stress, tears, or boring busy work.
- You’re short on time and energy. You just want something easy to follow, flexible, and actually fun.
I see you — because I’ve been there.
When I started homeschooling my boys, I felt that same tension: How can I make learning magical and meaningful without burning myself out?
That’s why I created the Preschool Enchantment unit studies based on our experiences — to make preschool at home doable, delightful, and developmentally meaningful.
If you’ve been craving structure without pressure, fun without fluff, and learning without overwhelm — you’re in the right place.
How Preschool Enchantment Unit Studies Came to Life
When my boys were young, I wanted a way to help them learn the essentials of preschool at home — letters, numbers, shapes, early thinking skills — with experiences that felt engaging, meaningful, and fun.
I didn’t want long lessons. I didn’t want busy work. I wanted was a loosely structured, flexible way to support their learning while honoring the importance of play.
That’s when I turned to the stories I loved as a child — fairy tales, nursery rhymes, and fables. These classic tales have been passed down through generations and for good reason. They’re rich with imagination, full of simple wisdom, and spark curiosity in young learners.
I began building weekly themes around these stories, using them as a base for a relaxed homeschool circle time. I even created a board to use as a visual tool that we could update each week with letters, numbers, shapes, and colors to help us stay focused and reinforce learning in a visual way.
From there, we’d dive into simple crafts, games, songs, and themed play. And most importantly, we made room for natural learning moments — without pressure or long sit-down sessions.
Looking back, I truly believe that this playful, story-based approach with hands-on and STEM activities helped my boys build a solid foundation for Kindergarten and beyond. And, just as important, gave us so many fun memories along the way!
Preschool Enchantment unit studies were born from those early days — and it’s my joy to share it with you.
