Quick Crafts for Holiday Fun with The Grinch
What are some of your favorite Christmas traditions and memories from your childhood?
I feel blessed to be able to look back on my youth during the month of December and have fond holiday memories with my family and friends. My brother, sister, and I would have tons of fun belting out Christmas carols and decorating the Christmas tree.
We'd basically have 2 Christmases - one when my mom's parents would visit from out of town and another with local relatives.
Another thing that we loved to share was watching Christmas shows and movies together. I remember scouring the TV Guide and putting together a list of dates and times for our favorites.
And I'd highlight our absolute favorite - The Grinch!
My mom would make a big bowl of popcorn and mugs of hot chocolate. And we'd all settle in to watch Cindy-Lou Who and all the Whos from Whoville prepare for their holiday and feast (including Who pudding and roast beast).
I always marveled at how the Grinch's heart would melt and love how the Grinch's face would change from miserable to content. To me, it seemed like the amazing transformation from stress to glee that happens so quickly during the Christmas season.
As my boys and I prepare for another year of Christmas homeschool fun, we were chatting about some of our holiday favorites. We talked about my childhood memories of the Grinch, especially the main song and Max (when I was growing up, we had a black lab named Max who was so sweet 😊).
With all of that happy reminiscing, I thought it would be cool to have some crafts with Grinch themes to enjoy with my boys - and share with you!
