Here is another patriotic craft to add to your summer fun list! Simple materials and adaptability to all ages makes it a winner.  DIY and frugal, this craft will be a fantastic way for your kids to add their patriotic flair to your summer decor.

Craft time is one of our favorite homeschool activities. My boys and I love to sort through our craft supplies stash and discover new ways to create. We all especially love to get out some paints and different materials to devise an assortment of gifts and home decorations.

I wanted to work on a patriotic craft with the boys for upcoming holidays like Memorial Day, Flag Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day. Also, I just love having red, white, and blue colors throughout our home during the summer months.

Recently, Coach prepared a fabulous feast that included baked potatoes. He bought a large bag with mammoth size potatoes. As he sealed up the bag, I had another "aha" creative moment.

"Potato stamps!" Yes, I yelled it out.

Coach, used to my tendency to burst out with hyper excitement, gave me one of those oh-no-here-we-go-again looks. He calmly asked what I meant by potato stamps. The man had never heard of them! Well, I just had to come up with an idea on how to use potato stamps in a patriotic craft (kill two birds with one stone and all that jazz).
