Famous Artists Worksheets for Fantastic Learning Fun (Free Set)

My boys and I are using these free printable activities as part of our homeschool art appreciation studies. We've found these worksheets to be great ways to record interesting facts about each artist, as well as color their picture.

I'm sharing my tips and ideas for using these famous artists for kids worksheets to help you make the most of these incredible resources.

Simple Ways to Boost Art Time with Kids

Are you looking for easy ways to make learning about famous artists fun? Or maybe you need some printable worksheets to record what your students are learning during art time? Perhaps your studying different periods of art history and would like print-and-go ways to jot down your findings?

Well, these free printable famous artists worksheets are fantastic ways to do all of the above!

Since we started homeschooling about 14 years ago, I've made an effort to include some type of art appreciation or class in our relaxed routine. And I've done that for a number of reasons. I believe it's important for our children to be familiar with the art world, even if they don't see themselves as artists or art aficiandos. Plus, the homeschool requirements for our state include art for each year.

The boys work on a variety of art projects. We read a bunch of books about famous artists and watch videos about their lives. I wanted some printable worksheets for them to complete so I could include those activities to their homeschool portfolios for our upcoming evaluations. I added these free printable famous artists worksheets to our homeschool collection and I had to share with you!

Learn All About These Famous Artists Worksheets

This free printable pack of famous artist worksheets includes 12 pages. Each page is in black-and-white (which makes it easier on your printer!).

The worksheets are designed as mini-biographies. The title of each pages includes "All About _____". There is picture of each artist for your student to color.

Creative Ideas for Enjoying These Artist Worksheets

I encourage you to think about how you'll be using these artists printables with your students. If your student will be placing in a binder or using for regular schoolwork, printing on regular white computer paper is fine.

If you'll be using these famous artists worksheets as posters, on a bulletin board, or for long-term use, I recommend printing on white cardstock.

You only need a few materials to enjoy these activities. A pencil or erasable pen work well for recording the information about each artist. Crayons, color pencils, and fine-tip markers are perfect for coloring the artist's portrait.

A fun idea is to frame your completed worksheet. Use decorative washi tape, stickers, or stamps.

Also, your kids can flip the paper over and draw their own versions of the artists' works. Your children can also add more facts or create word puzzles on the back of the pages.
