How to Include Music as Part of Your Homeschool Experience

It can feel like there's already so much to do in your homeschool. How can you fit music into your studies?

I know that feeling of being too busy and overwhelmed to even think about adding homeschool extras, like art and music.

But, are those subjects really extras?

I don't think so. I believe that subjects, like art and music, are beautiful enrichment that lead to a stronger educational background.

That's why music, in some form, has always been a part of our homeschooling.

So far, only one boy has stuck with learning an instrument. But, ALL of my boys have developed a better appreciation and understanding of music. That makes my heart happy 🙂

Marvelous Ways to Make Homeschool Music Fun

My boys and I keep it simple when it comes to homeschool music fun. Homeschooling five boys doesn't leave much room in our budget for expensive instruments or resources.

Also, our erratic, often on-the-go, schedule means we need to keep it flexible. Scheduled lessons (online or in-person) are difficult to maintain.

If you're like me, you've discovered that the best way to get helpful information about homeschooling is from other homeschoolers like you. Here's what my homeschool friends and I have found to make homeschool music fun:
