Over the years, all five of my boys have been interested in Pokemon at some point. When my two older boys were younger, one of my mom's friends gave us a a whole big bunch of Pokemon cards (plus Pokemon card binders) that her kids outgrew. Well, that present was the start of a new interest for my boys! They were intrigued by the creative creatures, features, and Hit Points (HP).
My younger boys eventually caught the Pokemon bug, too. The Pokemon video games on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS have been huge hits in our home.
I've been making and sharing free printable activities based on my boys' interests. Our Pokemon color by number page, perler bead craft patterns, and coloring bookmarks have been super popular. I decided to add to our hands-on activities featuring Pokemon, too.
Suggested Supplies for These DIY Crafts
I've found that any type of DIY time with kids is SO much easier and more fun when you have your supplies prepped and ready to go. I recommend that you have these materials gathered and available so you can jump right into your Pokemon crafts:
- white cardstock
- scissors
- glue sticks
- brads
- rocks
- rock painting supplies
- paper bags (lunch-size)
- construction paper
- washable paint
- empty toilet paper rolls
- empty box (for example, shoe box)
- clean and safe tin cans (no sharp edges!)
- small clear plastic storage container (with twist-off lid)

- optional: nail polish (yellow)
