I created this pack of educational resources because I was looking for some cute (and free) coloring activities to enjoy celebrate Dr. Seuss Day (March 2) and Read Across America week with my younger boys.

I wanted a variety of activities for them to choose from and customize. Plus, I knew that I wanted a mix of grade levels (in case you're using with a homeschool co-op or homeschooling multiple kids like us).

Creative Ways to Use Your Dr. Seuss Character Printables

Let's make these simple activities even more engaging! Here are some of my favorite ideas:

Have your kids start by personalizing their cover page - this is especially helpful if you're using these in a group setting or spreading the activities over several days.

The Scissor Skills Page: Print two copies - use one for tracing and one for cutting practice. These Dr. Seuss cutting activities are perfect for developing those fine motor skills!

Coloring Pages: Transform your Dr. Seuss coloring sheets into puppet shows by cutting out the characters and gluing them to craft sticks. Or create a collaborative classroom collage using everyone's finished pieces!

Pictionary Fun: Make it social! Play in pairs or small groups using a whiteboard or chalkboard. Encourage kids to add their own Dr. Seuss-inspired characters too.

Want to add an educational twist? Have older kids practice their writing by labeling each character on the back of their completed pages.
