Create an Amazing Celebration with Father's Day Poetry Fun
If you're looking for a creative way to celebrate Father's Day this year with kids, add some poetry! Father's Day poems are fabulous ways to get kids thinking about the father figures in their lives.
Gather Father's Day-themed poems and talk about how these writings show:
- Honor
- Respect
- Give details about the individual's life
- Describe emotions related to that person
- Share the dad's likes and interests (or dislikes)
After reading these poems, enjoy some fun yet simple poetry activities that encourage kids to write about their dads (or uncles, grandfathers, stepdads, etc.).
When their poems are complete, they can add their creations to cards or even a cool banner that decorates your Father's Day Poetry Teatime.
And don't forget special treats to enjoy for your Father's Day celebration! (My boys want to make Daddy the confetti pie. Yum!)
