It’s Easy to Make Learning About the U.S. Presidents Fun!

Over the years, our homeschool with 5 boys has had a few favorite topics to learn about and study.

Electrolytes. Geography. Sharks.

Much to my surprise, when I recently asked my boys what they loved learning about the most, they said American Presidents.

I wasn’t that surprised to hear that coming from my second son (currently a Senior in our homeschool who plans to major in History/Secondary Education in college). He has a stack of books all about presidents!

Apparently, his enthusiasm for the topic rubbed off on his brothers. And the fact that we have SO many resources about United States Presidents all around our homeschool area and home 😊

I remember thinking how nice it would be to have simple activities for my boys to work on while we read about the presidents. Since our homeschool covered a wide range of ages (12 year gap), I found it super helpful to have activities that my younger boys could work on while the older boys read aloud.

So, I made these free printable President coloring pages to use with my youngest (who is now 8!) and to share with you. I truly hope you and your students enjoy tons of history fun with these activities.

Make the most of your learning fun with these free printable Presidents coloring pages for kids of all ages with these ideas.

Have a variety of coloring tools for your kids to choose from as they customize these printable pages. Crayons, color pencils, and fine-tip markers are fantastic materials to have available.

If your older student would like to add more facts, make sure to have pencils or erasable pens available, too.

You could print these coloring pages on white cardstock and use as DIY educational posters.

Flip the pages over to extend the learning fun. Younger kids can draw their own versions of the presidents (or trace the outlines of the presidents). Older students can write sentences and add more facts.

Consider putting together a DIY Presidents coloring book. Use a three-hole punch and place in a three-ring binder. Customize by having your child make their own cover (for example, picking their favorite President and drawing). Fantastic way to showcase your student’s work AND have a special learning tool.
