Cool Ways to Enjoy This Scavenger Hunt for Thanksgiving

Here are some ideas for making this printable Thanksgiving scavenger hunt even more fun (and practical):

  • Give the kids a variety of coloring tools to pick from, like crayons, color pencils, and fine-tip markers. My boys and I really like this type of clipboard with a storage area that opens on the side (not the bottom because your coloring materials can fall out too easily that way!). It works well when we're having fun or learning on the go.
  • If it would be too difficult to color in the prompts when you're out and about, that's okay! Simply make a pencil mark next to the object and color it in later 😉
  • Printing the Thanksgiving scavenger hunt on white cardstock. Regular printer paper will work fine, but my boys get excited when doing this type of activity and have a tendency to accidentally rip the paper. Are your kids like that, too?
  • To use this printable scavenger hunt again and again, you can laminate it or place it in a dry-erase sleeve and use dry-erase markers.
  • Add small prizes for the end of the hunt and an exciting way to boost your Thanksgiving festivities with the whole family.
  • Add a challenge with a time limit, Thanksgiving riddles, and holiday interesting facts.
  • Afraid these objects won't be at your Thanksgiving celebration? Have your kids search for them in a Thanksgiving-themed book!
