Celebrating Your 100th Day of School Can Be Easy & Fun!
The 100th day of school (public, private, or homeschool) is a special time to celebrate. You definitely want to add a fun activity or two to honor this amazing day!
You've put in 100 days of learning, growing, and experiencing together.
Taking time to acknowledge your hard work and achievements can mean a lot to you and your kids. Plus, a celebration (big or small) around this time can help you gather up energy and motivation to enjoy the rest of your school year.
It's totally up to you how you recognize your 100th day. Your celebration might depend on your schedule and budget.
The good news is that you can enjoy an excellent celebration without going to too much fuss. A simple snack or treat and easy (print-and-go) 100th day activities can be just enough to make it fun.
Over the years, my boys and I have celebrated our 100th Day of homeschool in a variety of ways.
We've made cakes, cookies, and other special treats. As part of our homeschool morning time, we used our free printable homeschool tracker chart to keep tally of our days. Oh, and a paper chain was so much fun!
This free set of 100th Day of School coloring pages are perfect additions to your festivities.
What You'll Find In This Free Pack of 100th Day of School Coloring Pages
This free set of 100 Days of School Coloring Sheets includes 3 styles of color by number activities. All of these printable pages are in black-and-white (which means printer-friendly!).
- The first page features the number 100 with party horn (or megaphone), stars, and dots. This page has a color by number key with numbers 0-9.
- The number 100 is represented as candles (with stars) on a cake in the second page. This color by number key has numbers counting by 10s from 10 to 100.
- The third page also has the number 100 with a cupcake and party hat. Your kids will get to practice coloring by 10s with this activity, too.
Creative Ideas for Boosting the Fun with These Coloring Activities
Color by number activities can be extra fun with a few simple ideas.
If you have the budget and space, provide a variety of coloring tools for your children to pick from, like:
- crayons
- markers (thin- or wide-tipped)
- color pencils
- Kwik Stix (or type of other tempera paint stick)
- chalk pastels
- oil pastels
- water color paints
Your kids may want to cut out their completed work and glue onto construction paper or cardstock (so have scissors, glue sticks, and paper available). If your kids choose this option, encourage them to decorate their work with a DIY frame out of washi tape or doodles.
A fun DIY frame idea is to use 100 of something. Small stickers, dots from markers, hole punch, or whatever else your kids can think of!
