Amazing Activity to Make Your New Year’s Eve Rock
New Year’s Eve can be such a fun time with kids-if you’re prepared 😉
Have an arsenal of activities and games at the ready. You’ll be so glad you did to make the most of this special time. Keep them off screens and enjoy fun moments!
But, you don’t want your holiday to be complicated or stressful. Keep it simple and relaxed. You want to make sure you enjoy New Year’s Eve along with the kids.
I’ve shared this list of 50+ Epic Ways To Celebrate New Year’s Eve With Kids. This year, I’m adding MORE activities and games to mix up the fun with my five boys.
This game is super simple yet such fun! Participants think of a word for each letter of the alphabet related to the chose theme. So, for this New Year’s Eve game, you could have:
- A = Auld Lang Syne
- B = ball
- C = celebration
- D = dancing
- E = eve
- and so on…
Fabulous Ways to Elevate the Fun Level of This Simple Game
Although this game is simple, it really promotes amazing interaction and brainstorming. My boys and I love thinking of different words related to the theme. We bolster the fun with these ideas:
- Work in small groups or as a team. The process of thinking out loud and agreeing on a word is awesome!
- Play music in the background. Let your kids pick some favorite tunes or have a New Year’s Eve themed playlist ready to go.
- Use cool writing utensils to boost the writing fun. My boys enjoy gel pens, Frixion erasable pens (so many colors!), crayons, markers, and special pencils.
- Challenge participants to think of more than one word for each letter of the alphabet.
- Give small prizes, stickers, or stamps for each word that’s contributed and used.
