Playground + Coloring = Tons of Fun!
Do your kids love going to the playground? Or maybe you have students who just can't wait until recess to get outside and enjoy the play area? Perhaps you're looking for creative ways to teach kids about the letter "P"?
Well, these free printable playground coloring pages for color by number fun are sure to be hits!
When my boys were little, they absolutely loved to visit playgrounds. We went so often to local play areas that they'd have custom games for specific sites.
My younger boys had the benefit of experiencing even more playground types. When big brothers would be practicing soccer at different locations or traveling for games, I'd always find a cool playground or two to help my little ones burn off energy. Playgrounds for the win!
But, what happens when you can't make it to the playground? Or the weather doesn't cooperate?
OR maybe you need some time before leaving for a playground and would love a print-and-go activity to keep your kids busy until that time?
Oh, I remember those days so well! That's why I'm sharing these playground color by number pages!

Creative Ideas for These Printable Playground Activities
A great idea to help your learners take these playground printables to the next level is by letting them choose from a variety of coloring tools. My boys like crayons, colored pencils, or markers. We've also had a bunch of fun with thin Kwik Stix (tempera paint sticks) and oil pastels for bold colors.
- Display each of the completed pages after your kids color them in. Place the work on your refrigerator, cork board, wall, hallway, bulletin board, or other frequently viewed areas.
- During your coloring time, play music in the background as your kids work on their activities. Try calming or energizing music based on what you'd like your students to do.
- Consider cutting out the finished project (cut along the solid black line) and glue on construction paper or decorative cardstock. This step makes quite a colorful picture or poster. And something to look forward to for play time!
Tip: Print out extra copies of these playground pages. Your children may want to make multiple copies OR you may want to join the fun!
