We love having learning fun with Dr. Seuss. His books are just the best - filled with the most interesting characters and illustrations that always make us smile.
Xman received What Pet Should I Get? as a third birthday gift, along with his very first pet ever, a blue Betta fish named Bob. It turned out to be a fantastic way to talk about picking out the perfect pet for your family!

Cool Things About This Dr. Seuss Book
This Dr. Seuss book came out in 2015 (after they found it in his stuff - how cool is that?). It follows Jay and Kay, who you might remember from One Fish Two Red Fish Blue Fish.
It's such a great book for talking about making decisions with your kids. Psychology Today has some really helpful tips about teaching decision-making if you want to dive deeper into that conversation.
The back of our hardcover copy has this super interesting section about Dr. Seuss and the story behind the book. Both kids and parents will love learning about it!

Fun way to introduce a class pet.
I would bring in all my tiny animals from my collection of toys and set up a toy store so kids could come ask the pet shop people about prospective pets👍🏼
