Why Kids Love Christmas Countdown Activities

How do you help your kids focus all their energy and excitement for the Christmas season? Through fun holiday-themed activities! I've discovered this is the best way to keep kids busy and allow them to release all that energy in a positive way.

All five of my boys get VERY excited for Christmas. My oldest (who is now 19) still leads the bunch. One of my nicknames for him is Buddy the Elf. And his holiday enthusiasm is contagious (in a good way) for the whole family.

Over the years, I've found creative ways to encourage him (and all of my boys) to prepare for the upcoming festivities. This Christmas countdown for kids (like our countdown chains and homeschool tracker charts) has been extremely popular with my crew.

Gather a variety of coloring tools for your kids to pick from, like:
