I love looking for and finding creative ways to enjoy a holiday with my boys -especially FREE ways!

In our homeschool, my 5 boys and I have had such delightful times making and enjoying Easter cards, crafts, and activities. This year, I wanted a new way to help my boys boost reading AND have some simple Easter fun!

I'm so excited about these Easter coloring bookmarks. These printables provide opportunities to boost creativity by personalizing the bookmarks and encourage a positive habit - reading!

Learn All About These Easter Bookmarks

This free set of printable Easter bookmarks includes five styles on one PDF page. The bookmarks are created for coloring fun and are in black-and-white (easy on your printer!).

Each bookmark has Easter themes with punny and positive reading messages, like:

• Reading is EGG-citing (with bunny hugging an Easter egg and chick in egg)
• Some BUNNY loves to read (with bunny holding stack of books and Easter eggs, carrot, flowers, and bow)
• HOP into a good book (with bunny hugging an Easter egg with flowers, heart, and other eggs)
• CRACK open a good book (with bunny popping out of cracked egg, basket, flowers, and more eggs)

Creative Ideas for Making and Using These Printable Bookmarks

I recommend that you print these bookmarks on white cardstock for increased durability. Also, you can laminate the bookmarks after your child is done coloring and customizing. If you prefer to print on regular white printer paper, it's a good idea to glue your bookmark onto cardstock (which can also be a cute frame!).

My boys and I used glitter gel pens to complete my bookmarks. I love how shimmery and shiny it makes the the Easter themes look! Your students may want a selection of other coloring tools, like color pencils, crayons, and fine-tip markers.

A smart idea is to also use washi tape on the backs of the bookmarks to reinforce. This step strengthens the bookmark, as well as adds a cool pattern or texture (like glitter washi tape).

Another idea that can take your bookmark to the next level is to punch a hole in the top of the bookmark. Add a ribbon or piece of colored twine or yarn. You could even use a few strands of Easter grass. Pastel colors would look awesome!
