Easily Boost Your Groundhog Day Celebration with Kids
Groundhog Day is such a fun holiday to celebrate with your kids!
It's simple enough - on February 2nd, we wait in eager anticipation for the world famous groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, to emerge from his burrow. Will he see his shadow (and predict 6 more weeks of winter) or not (and predict an early spring)? So exciting!
The first Groundhog Day was in 1886 at Gobbler's Knob in Punxsutawney, PA. My boys and I live a little over an hour away from this site. It's on our homeschool bucket list to join the celebration some day.
Last year, to help us celebrate this special day, I added these free Groundhog Day color by number activities to our holiday fun collection. This year, I'm excited to share this Groundhog Day word search! It's a great way to enjoy a cool holiday-themed challenge.
