Donuts are Delightful for Coloring Fun!

Are you looking for fun and simple ways to boost your donut time with kids? Or maybe you're planning for a sweet treats learning theme? Perhaps you really need some quick and frugal ways to help your children enjoy screen-free activities?

Well, these donut coloring pages are totally cool for all of those reasons and more 🍩

Not sure how or when it started, but Bear (boy #4) has this thing about donuts. Sure, he loves the "delightful delicacies" as he puts it. At some point, however, it turned into a family joke.

Whenever I'm putting together a grocery store list or going out for errands, Bear will jokingly pipe up with, "And make sure to get some donuts!".

He also love donut puns (well, puns of any sort!). When I showed him our donut bookmarks to color, Bear's face lit up. He had such a blast coloring and customizing his bookmarks ("I'm donuts about books" is his favorite).

I knew it wouldn't be long before Bear put in a request for more donut-themed activities. He agreed to work with me on making this pack of free printable donut coloring pages. We hope that you and your kids have a "hole" bunch of fun with these donuts!

This free printable pack of donut coloring worksheets includes 5 pages (PDF format) plus a terms of use page.

All the pages are in black-and-white. Some of the pages have decorative frames for extra coloring fun.

The donut themes that you'll find in this set are:

• 1 page with I ❤️ DONUTS (surrounded by variety of donut
• 1 pages with D IS FOR DONUTS and stack of donuts
• 2 pages with 4 donuts on each page (each of the 8 donuts has a decorative frame) - can be cut into smaller sizes
• 1 full page of donuts and sparkles

Creative Ideas for Making and Enjoying These Coloring Sheets

One of my favorite things to do (especially when I'm feeling stressed) is to color. Over the years, I've discovered quite a few ways that you can boost the fun with printable coloring pages.

I recommend that you print out these pages on regular white printer paper. If you'd like to use these donut coloring pages as posters or decorations, print on white cardstock.

Make sure to have your collection of coloring tools ready. My boys and I love using:

• Crayons
• Color pencils
• Fine-tip markers
• Kwik Stix (the metallic ones are awesome for giving a shimmery effect!)
• Gel pens
• Watercolor brush pens can also be awesome!

Customize your donuts depending on how you're feeling, if a special event or holiday is coming up, or to show your favorite toppings. You can get some many fantastic combinations so make sure to print extra copies!

We find it relaxing to play soothing music in the background as we color. If we need an energy boost, we'll put on some fun music to pep us up.

Your students can use the back of these printable pages to add extra drawings of donuts (or other sweet treats). Older kids can use print or cursive to write out words related to the donuts or fun facts about donuts. Some donut-related words to get you started are:

• jelly
