One of My Secrets for Getting Kids Excited About Learning

How do you easily extend the fun with some of your favorite books and characters?

With food!

Dr. Seuss stories have been big hits in our homeschool and family life. Over the years, my boys and I have had a blast as we read these books, chat about the characters, and enjoy creative activities to keep the fun going.

As I prepare for another Dr. Seuss Day celebration with my boys, I find myself fondly looking back on all of the good times we've shared enjoying Dr. Seuss themes. And I'm also planning new ways to celebrate now that my boys are older!

I think all parents know that one of the easiest ways to get kids of all ages excited about pretty much anything is with food. I learned that lesson early on in our homeschool when we began poetry teatimes. Who would have thought that my 5 boys would actually sit down, listen to, read, and discuss poetry? Well, food (in the form of decadent brownies) brought them to the table and back again and again 😉

That's why I'm putting together this list of delightful Dr. Seuss recipes that we've enjoyed over the years and can't wait to try now! Of course, I had to share it with you so you can join in all the fun 😊
