An Easy Halloween Activity That Kids Love!
As a mom to five boys, I need to get creative with keeping my crew entertained (and not constantly wrestling with each other!). One of our favorite activities for having interactive fun is The Alphabet Game.
The best part: This activity challenges the boys to think of different words related to our chosen theme. Sneaky learning fun!
We often play The Alphabet Game while driving to and from soccer events and errands. Another great time to play this game is during brain breaks. The boys and I would shout out words associated with one theme (like Fall) for each letter of the alphabet.
Since my boys enjoyed this activity so much, I thought I'd try to carry over that excitement into their writing. I'm always looking for new ways to make writing fun and interesting. The boys loved our Halloween Writing Fun last year so I decided to add this Halloween Alphabet Game to our celebration 🙂
Awesome Ideas for Enjoying This Halloween Alphabet Game with Kids
This free printable activity is so simple yet such fun!
If you have older kids, they might want to independently complete this alphabet game. Make sure to print out enough copies for each participant (and a few extra just in case 😉 )
Younger kids might benefit from having a bit of help from you or older siblings. You can either jot down their answers for them or lightly trace the words for them to write on. Xman (5) prefers for me to write down his responses so he can write them down on his own.
Some kids might like to draw their answers. I encourage you to customize the activity to best fit the need of your kids 🙂
Working with a larger group (like a homeschool co-op, library event, or party)? Have participants partner up or make teams. You can challenge the groups to see which one can complete the activity the fastest or think up the most creative answers.
To boost the Halloween fun, you could add fun treats like pencils, erasers, stickers, or stamps.
