- paper plates
- tissue paper (green paper plus at least 1 or 2 other colors)
- popsicle sticks (or wood craft sticks)
- yellow paint
- black paint pen or marker
- glue stick

How to Make This Truffula Tree Paper Plate Craft

Prepare the popsicle sticks
Paint the popsicle sticks (or wood craft sticks) yellow. Let dry.

Make black lines
Use a black paint pen or marker to draw horizontal lines across popsicle sticks.

Add popsicle sticks
Glue popsicle sticks to paper plate. Position them vertically next to each other.
Leave some space between the two popsicle sticks to the tops of the truffula trees don't touch.

Prepare tissue paper
Cut the tissue paper into small squares. Use green (for the grass) and whatever colors you'd like for the tops of the trees.

Add the grass
Apply glue to the base of the sticks.
Crumble up the green tissue paper squares and press onto the glue.

Complete the tree tops
Apply glue in a circle at the top of the sticks.
Choose a color of tissue paper for each tree. Repeat the crumbling and sticking squares process.
Fluff the tissue paper squares back up after gluing.
