How to Make This Coffee Filter Wreath
01
Prepare coffee filters
Color 4-5 coffee filters in different patterns with the markers. It’s okay to leave small bits of white space. These areas will be colored when the ink spreads.
02
Water the coffee filters
Spray the coffee filters. The ink will bleed so spray them outside or on cardboard. Allow time to completely dry.
03
Prepare paper plate frame
Cut the middle part out of the paper plate, keeping the outer ring intact.
04
Cut coffee filters
When dry, cut the coffee filters in half.
05
Form coffee filter flowers
Keeping the rounded portion largely flat, scrunch up the cut side together, and then twist it to hold it in place. This point will be the attachment point for the wreath. The finished product should look like a flower petal.
06
Add coffee filter flowers
Lay one “flower” on the outer ring of the plate and glue it in place.
Continue gluing flowers on with the flat part of each one overlapping the twisted part of the previous flower.
07
Add pom poms
Once the whole wreath is covered in petals, glue pom poms to several of them.
08
Add ribbon hanger
Glue a ribbon loop to the back of the paper plate frame.
09
Add bow ribbon
Tie a ribbon bow and glue it to the front of the wreath on the top.
Frequently Asked Questions About This Coffee Filter Craft
