Simple Ways to Celebrate 4th of July
Are you planning and preparing for a Fourth of July celebration? May you're looking for easy and free ways to boost summer reading around the holiday? Or perhaps you want some fun freebies to use as part of your Summer Olympics fun?
These free printable coloring bookmarks with Independence Day and patriotic themes are perfect for all of those things and more!
My boys and I have been using a bunch of our coloring bookmarks (like our summer, sloth, and shark bookmarks) as part of our summer homeschool fun. We like to have customized accessories to keep our places in our books and important resources.
We're also easing back into our homeschool adventures this summer. The boys and I took a break after successful homeschool portfolio evaluations at the start of May. They like having a variety of bookmarks (especially Super Mario, Pokemon, and Minecraft) for their textbooks and workbooks. I love using mine in my teacher's guides and planner!
I wanted to have some 4th of July bookmarks for coloring fun to add to our collection. And, of course, I had to share with you, too!

Creative Ideas for Customizing These Coloring Bookmarks
Maximize the life of your 4th of July coloring bookmarks by printing them on sturdy cardstock. For extra protection, consider laminating them once your work is completed.
Personally, I love the dazzling effect of glitter gel pens on my bookmarks. My boys, however, prefer fine-tip markers and color pencils.
Another simple way to boost durability is to add a layer of washi tape to the back of the bookmark. It's a fun way to add texture, too!
For an extra bit of customization, punch a hole at the top and thread a ribbon, colored twine, or yarn through it.
