Comic Strips for Writing Fun!
My boys and I love to use comic strips for writing fun in our homeschool. My younger boys often just doodle pictures and narrate as I jot down their stories. My older boys really get into it! They love to outline comic strip series with new characters or modify existing ones.
Comic strips offer your kids the chance to practice drawing, planning, and writing. Your kids are encouraged to think sequentially (or with flashbacks!) and how to make their story make sense. Also, comic strips have limited space so story lines often need to be condensed or have an interesting transition.
